Send the exact assignment or rubric from your course of study and a custom sample written to it lands in 24 to 48 hours, the first one free. C216 is WGU’s MBA Capstone course. It centers on writing a single business report from a simulation you ran yourself, ending in one strategic choice you defend. Searches like "c216 task 2 assignment example", "C216 sample paper", and "C216 task samples" land on this page.
What C216 is really about
C216 closes the WGU MBA, and it works differently from everything behind it. You run a business simulation across several decision rounds, making pricing, production, marketing and financing calls, and the results those calls return become the evidence base for a written report. Nothing arrives as a prepared case study; the company you write about is the one your own decisions created. That changes the writing problem. Instead of interpreting somebody else's facts you have to explain your own, including the rounds that went badly, and then argue forward from where the simulation actually left the business rather than from where you wish it had ended up.
The report is a performance assessment, read by an evaluator against a rubric aspect by aspect, and a capstone returned for revision on one or two aspects is an ordinary outcome rather than a rejection of the whole thing. The simulation runs, the decisions you entered and the results they gave back are your own record, and no one invents or fills those in for you. What a sample can do is show the shape of the report built around your results: how a section is constructed, where evidence gets attached, and how a strategic argument is carried from the opening summary to the closing recommendation without thinning out along the way.
What C216’s tasks ask for
The capstone is one large deliverable, and it moves in two halves. The first establishes the situation with evidence: what the market did, what your company did, which results followed, and what the financial record says about the firm's position at the end of the run. The second half commits. It selects a direction for the business, justifies it against the alternatives you set aside, and describes what implementing it would demand in operations, money and people. Rubric aspects are written for both halves and for the join between them, so a report rich in analysis that never names a preferred course leaves the deciding aspect unmet.
Why C216 tasks come back for revision
Capstones come back most often for saying strategy words instead of making a strategic choice. The report identifies core competencies, discusses differentiation and cost leadership, lists opportunities and threats, and reaches its final page without ever telling the reader which one the company is doing next year. Vocabulary is not a decision. The aspect asking for a recommendation wants you to pick a direction, say what the business forfeits by picking it, and show the results from your own rounds that make it the better bet. State the choice in one plain sentence early, then let the remaining sections argue for it and against the option you rejected.
The C216 drawers
C216 Task 1 example
The investor presentation: mission, strategy, decisions tied to results on a balanced scorecard, a SWOT from the data, SMART objectives and a capital request. Full sample paper, annotated.
C216 Task 2 example
The stockholder report: how the strategy and the new capital were used, statements and ratios, objectives met or missed with reasons, and the outlook. Full sample paper, annotated.
Your course of study shows something else?

Using a C216 sample the right way
Treat these samples as structural references rather than as content. The company in your capstone is one you built round by round, so no sample can hold your figures; what it can show is how a report of this size stays upright, where a summary belongs, how much evidence a section needs before it turns to argument, and how a recommendation is worded so the reader knows exactly what is being proposed. Send the task instructions and the rubric your version uses, and the first sample built around that pairing is free, delivered in 24-48h.
How these samples are written
The discipline behind every task here: aspects are the outline, each gets its section, artifacts match their narratives, and OA courses get prep-note treatment instead, because the sit is always yours. Send your portal's rubric with a request and the sample matches it, revisions included.
C216 questions, answered
How committed does the recommendation actually have to be?
Committed enough to exclude the alternatives. A capstone that surveys three directions and endorses none reads as unfinished, because the aspect asks you to select one and justify it. Name the strategy in a single plain sentence, say what the business gives up by choosing it, and defend it against the option you ranked second.
Can a strong analysis section carry a weak closing recommendation?
Not here, because the two are scored separately. Depth in the situation analysis earns nothing on the aspect asking what the company should do next, and a report can read as thorough while never committing to a course of action. Draft the recommendation first, then check that every earlier section is feeding it.
Does the recommendation need figures from my own simulation rounds?
Yes, and those are the only figures that really count. Industry research can frame the market, but the argument for your strategy has to rest on what your decisions produced: the share you held, the margin you ran, the cash your balance sheet showed at the close. Quote those results inside the recommendation itself.
