Send the exact assignment or rubric from your course of study and a custom sample written to it lands in 24 to 48 hours, the first one free. D089 is WGU’s Principles of Economics course. It centers on how prices, elasticity and market structure behave up close, and how output, inflation, employment and policy behave at national scale. Searches like "d089 task 2 assignment example", "D089 sample paper", and "D089 task samples" land on this page.
What D089 is really about
D089 covers two economies at once. The first is small and immediate: a buyer, a seller, a price that moves, elasticity that decides whether a price rise earns more revenue or less, and market structures that explain why one seller behaves nothing like a hundred of them. The second is national: gross domestic product, price levels, employment, interest rates, and the fiscal and monetary levers governments reach for. The pairing is deliberate. Business people who only learn the small version misread a downturn, and people who only learn the national version cannot price anything. The course wants both working in the same head.
One thing to be straight about: in many versions D089 is cleared by a proctored objective assessment, which is a supervised exam. A supervised sitting sits outside what this shelf holds. What it covers is written performance assessment work, so if your version attaches a written task, or if the same economics has to be argued in a later business course, that is where a sample earns its keep. The rhythm on written work is the usual one. Your submission goes to an evaluator, gets read aspect by aspect against the rubric, and comes back for revision if an aspect is not yet met, which is a normal step and not a setback.
What D089’s tasks ask for
Written economics at this level usually asks for a decision backed by a model rather than an essay about economists. A market piece takes a product, a price change or a shift in supply, and asks what happens to quantity, revenue and the players around it. A national piece takes indicators over a stretch of time and asks what they say together, then what a policy response would do to them. Both want the same discipline: name your data source, name the period, name the assumptions you are holding still, and show the arithmetic where arithmetic exists. A number without a stated basis is a decoration, and an evaluator reads it as one.
Why D089 tasks come back for revision
Economics submissions lose aspects on unstated assumptions more than on wrong answers. You conclude that revenue rises after the price increase, but nothing on the page says you held income, substitutes and the time horizon constant, so the reader cannot tell whether the conclusion follows or was simply asserted. Same failure in the national half: an inflation claim with no base year and no series named. The other frequent miss is a graph dropped into the file as if it argues by itself. A supply and demand figure with no axis labels, no source and no sentence saying which curve moved and why is decoration again, not evidence, and it earns nothing from an evaluator.

Using a D089 sample the right way
Use a sample to see how an economic argument is assembled from the ground up: where the assumptions get stated, how a figure is introduced and then read in words, how a recommendation stays inside what the data can support. Then rebuild the analysis with your own product, your own series and your own period, since the numbers you were given are not the numbers here. If you send the task instructions and rubric aspects you received, the first custom sample is written to them and costs nothing, delivered in 24-48h.
How these samples are written
The discipline behind every task here: aspects are the outline, each gets its section, artifacts match their narratives, and OA courses get prep-note treatment instead, because the sit is always yours. Send your portal's rubric with a request and the sample matches it, revisions included.
D089 questions, answered
What counts as stating my assumptions in an economic analysis?
Anything you held constant, chose or estimated. The time horizon, the substitutes you ignored, the base year, the sample you pulled, the elasticity you assumed rather than measured. One short paragraph before the analysis is enough. It lets a reader re-run your reasoning and reach your conclusion, which is exactly what the aspect is testing for.
I attached a chart and it was not treated as evidence. Why not?
Because a chart is data until somebody reads it. Label the axes, cite where the series came from, then write the two or three sentences that say what moved, when, by how much and what caused it. Evidence is the sentence plus the figure together. On its own the image tells an evaluator only that you found an image.
How precise do my figures need to be when the data is only estimated?
Precision matters less than transparency. An estimate is fine if you say it is one, say how you got it, and keep the rounding consistent so a reader can repeat the arithmetic. Trouble starts when an estimate is presented as a measurement. Write the range, write the method in a line, and the aspect has what it needs.
